The instrument consists of a base and stand assembly‚ sample holder andgas distribution system. Test tubes are held in place by aspring-loaded sample holder and support tray. Each position isnumbered. The gas at 5 to 10 psig passes through an adjustable flowmeter to the distribution manifold. Flexible tubing leads to valve-tubeassemblies at each position. Depending on the test-tube size andsolvent volume they can be individually raised or lowered to thecorrect height. Needles or glass pipets blow gas onto the surface ofthe solution resulting in rapid evaporation of the solvent. Allmaterials used are laboratory quality and can withstand contact withorganic solvents. Acid resistant models are available for corrosiveapplications.

The round‚ stainless steel water bath is thermostatically controlledand will accurately maintain water temperature from 30° to 70° C.Optional dry baths filled with glass or aluminum beads will operatefrom 30° to 130° C. A high temperature limit switch is installed forsafety. An electrical GFCI plug is optional. An intrinsically safe‚purged case is also available as an option. The bath is UL/CUL approvedfor laboratory use.

A gas flow meter with valve‚ controls and indicates gas consumption.
A needle valve adjusts gas flow at each position.
Stainless steel 4 inches x 19-gauge needles standard.
All metal parts are made of stainless steel‚ nickel chromed brass oranodized aluminum. Plastic parts are laboratory grade and willwithstand contact with common organic solvents.
